The Yorkshire Three Peaks

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes in the three highest peaks of Yorkshire - Pen-y-Ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m).

The Three Peaks walk has spawned an annual Three Peaks Race, in which participants run the route of the Three Peaks. The Three Peaks Race event is open to those with previous endurance running experience, and carries a record time of under three hours.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks is often seen as a percursor to the National Three Peaks Challenge - a 24 hour challenge, taking in Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
